- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Warm a large skillet over medium heat, then add the ground beef. Brown it for about 5–7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Prepare a greased baking dish and layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
- Follow with the beef mixture, and then add the fresh green beans on top.
- Pour the beef broth or water over the layers, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top; bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
