Ingredients

- 2 cans of navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup of diced pineapple
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of diced bell pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, pineapple, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, mustard, onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
- Can be made a day in advance and reheated before serving.
- Serve with rice or as a side dish at barbecues.
