Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, feta cheese, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and dill in a bowl.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a turkey patty on each bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some chopped jalapeños to the turkey mixture.
  • These burgers can also be baked in the oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
  • Leftover tzatziki can be used as a dip for vegetables or pita chips.
