- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add chicken breast to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm the pita breads on the grill for about 1 minute.
- Assemble the gyros by placing sliced chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion in the pita.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Feel free to add other toppings like cucumber or feta cheese.
