Description

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch.
- Dip the coated chicken into the beaten eggs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to create the sauce.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and drain excess oil.
- Add the sauce to the pan and bring it to a simmer.
- Add the fried chicken back into the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double fry the chicken.
- Adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
- Serve with steamed rice and broccoli for a complete meal.
