Description

Soft, pillowy dough filled with gooey mozzarella and brushed with a rich garlic butter mixture, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture bubbles.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add your bubbling yeast mixture and olive oil, and start kneading until a smooth dough forms (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Let it rise: Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and set it in a warm spot. Let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  4. Preheat your oven: Heat it to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Shape the bombs: Punch down the dough, divide it into small balls, flatten each ball, place mozzarella in the center, seal, and roll again.
  6. Arrange for baking: Place the filled dough balls on a greased or lined baking sheet.
  7. Prepare garlic butter: Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Brush it over each dough ball.
  8. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm: Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Customize with different cheeses or herbs for varied flavors. Serve with marinara sauce or garlic aioli.
