Description
Soft, pillowy dough filled with gooey mozzarella and brushed with a rich garlic butter mixture, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture bubbles.
- Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add your bubbling yeast mixture and olive oil, and start kneading until a smooth dough forms (about 5-7 minutes).
- Let it rise: Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and set it in a warm spot. Let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven: Heat it to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the bombs: Punch down the dough, divide it into small balls, flatten each ball, place mozzarella in the center, seal, and roll again.
- Arrange for baking: Place the filled dough balls on a greased or lined baking sheet.
- Prepare garlic butter: Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Brush it over each dough ball.
- Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm: Let cool slightly before serving.
