- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
- Add the French onion soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet; mix well.
- Stir in the cooked noodles and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
