Ingredients

  • 1 pound cake, sliced
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee and let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
  5. Dip each slice of pound cake into the cooled coffee briefly.
  6. Layer the dipped pound cake slices in a serving dish.
  7. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the pound cake.
  8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
  9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
  • Feel free to add chocolate shavings on top for extra decoration.
