- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 500g chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a clay pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add the rinsed rice and chicken broth to the pot, stirring to combine.
- Cover the pot and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 10 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
