Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, and mix until creamy.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
- Merge the dry mixture into the wet ingredients just until combined.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Make the cinnamon sugar topping by mixing cinnamon and sugar, sprinkling it over the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool completely, then prepare the frosting with powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract and spread over the bars.
Notes
These bars can be customized with nuts or cream cheese swirls; store in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for a month.
