- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- While the truffles are chilling, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If desired, add vegetable oil to thin the chocolate.
- Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated, and return to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Once all truffles are dipped, refrigerate them again until the chocolate is set.
