Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 23 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour (optional for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, chili sauce, and ginger-garlic paste for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it turns golden brown.
  4. Add the bell pepper and green chilies, and stir-fry for a few minutes.
  5. If making gravy, add water and cornflour to thicken the sauce; otherwise, cook until the chicken is fully done for the dry version.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
