Description

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 cup potato starch or cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sake, mirin, ginger, and garlic to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F).
  5. Coat the marinated chicken pieces in potato starch or cornstarch.
  6. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges and dipping sauce.
