- 2 slices of bread
- 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter (for grilling)
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Spread the mashed avocado on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Layer the sliced grilled chicken atop the avocado, and then sprinkle the shredded cheese over it.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich using the spatula and grill the other side until golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet or oven for the best texture.
