Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then add it to the skillet, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest for a few moments.
  4. Add the shrimp, bell pepper, and onion to the same skillet, sautéing until the shrimp are pink and vegetables soften (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Slice the rested steak into strips and return to the skillet.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, cover, and let it melt for about 2 minutes.
  7. Serve warm, over rice or quinoa if desired.
