  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the diced ham and half of the cheese.
  5. Pour half of the cream sauce over the layers.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, cheese, and sauce.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
