Description
A stunning cake with a rich, caramelized surface and a delightful crunch of toasted pecans, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare your Bundt pan by greasing and flouring it.
- Create the caramel base by combining brown sugar and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until dissolved. Pour into the prepared Bundt pan and add chopped pecans on top.
- Mix the softened butter and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt) in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the cake batter over the pecans in the Bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving plate.
