Ingredients

- 3–4 Yams or Sweet Potatoes
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel the yams and slice them into uniform rounds about half an inch thick.
- Layer the yams in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle with salt, then add a layer of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Dot with pats of butter and add water to the bottom of the dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30-45 minutes until fork-tender.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to caramelize.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

Make-ahead option: Prepare the yams and layer them in the baking dish the day before and refrigerate.
