Description

A comforting dish that combines fluffy rice with sweet corn, enriched with butter and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice (jasmine, basmati, or long-grain)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a heavy-bottomed pot with a pinch of salt.
  2. Add the rice and stir briefly; cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for about 18 minutes.
  3. Sauté the corn in a separate pan with melted butter over medium heat until golden.
  4. Combine the cooked rice with the sautéed corn and melted butter, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For make-ahead tips, store cooked rice in the refrigerator to reheat later. Adjust seasonings to taste before serving.
