- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and buffalo sauce, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Combine the cooked macaroni and shredded chicken with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more buffalo sauce to taste.
- Top with additional cheese or breadcrumbs before baking for a crunchy topping.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
