A delicious and spicy twist on the classic stroganoff, featuring blackened shrimp in a creamy sauce served over pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with blackening seasoning until well coated.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until blackened and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and let it thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked noodles and shrimp back into the skillet; toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of blackening seasoning to your spice preference.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- This dish pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
