- 1 large flour tortilla
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup seasoned ground beef or chicken
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup jalapeños (optional)
- 1 tablespoon taco sauce
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the large flour tortilla on a flat surface.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese in the center of the tortilla.
- Add the seasoned ground beef or chicken on top of the cheese.
- Layer the sour cream, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, diced onions, and jalapeños on top of the meat.
- Drizzle taco sauce over the toppings.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
- Place the rolled quesadilla in the preheated skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with black beans or grilled vegetables.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
- Serve with additional taco sauce or salsa on the side.
