  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin to the beef and cook until onions are soft.
  3. Stir in refried beans and cheese until melted and well combined.
  4. Place a generous amount of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll it up tightly.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry each chimichanga until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
