Description

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 daikon radish, julienned
  • Fresh cilantro leaves
  • Jalapeño slices (optional)
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
  2. Marinate the chicken breasts in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill or pan-fry the marinated chicken until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the vegetables: slice the cucumber, julienne the carrot and daikon radish.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  6. Slice the baguette in half and spread mayonnaise on both sides.
  7. Layer the sliced chicken, cucumber, carrot, daikon, cilantro, and jalapeño on the baguette.
  8. Close the sandwich and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add pickled vegetables.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
