- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- Heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, and broil until melted and bubbly (2-3 minutes).
- Serve with spaghetti or in meatball subs.
Notes
For storage, keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge, or freeze uncooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
