Description

Delicious baked meatballs nestled in a rich marinara sauce, topped with gooey mozzarella for the ultimate comfort meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, and broil until melted and bubbly (2-3 minutes).
  7. Serve with spaghetti or in meatball subs.

Notes

For storage, keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge, or freeze uncooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
